In my professional world of graphic & web design, a moodboard is used to create a visual guide to what a site might look like using color swatches, pattern examples and fonts. I decided to apply this to what I have in mind for decor for the kitchen/dining area and living room of my new apartment.

    I’m going for:

    • cozy and welcoming (there are some homes I just can’t get comfy in because I feel like I might wrinkle something- I don’t want that in my new home)
    • worn, faded, muted blues (think of an old plaid shirt you can’t bear to toss out)
    • subtle nautical influences (blue stripes and maybe an anchor on a pillow… but a model ship on the counter is going a little far)
